The Bradley-Bourbonnais Dolphins Swim Club (BBSC) is looking for coaches at all levels for the upcoming season. Candidates should have experience in competitive swimming, an ability to motivate and teach stroke and technique
to swimmers of all ages from 6 to 18, and be able to obtain USA Swimming coaching and safety certifications. Lifeguarding and WSI Certifications are preferred. Coaches are part-time and compensated hourly, based on experience
and credentials.
The Dolphins is a competitive age-group team for swimmers at all levels. We are a growing team, located in a growing community. The team swims at the Bradley-Bourbonnais Community High School pool: an 8-lane facility with a
moveable bulkhead. Practices during the short course season are 5:30-7 most weeknight evenings. The team competes in the South Suburban Swim Conference, as well as in USA-swimming meets throughout the season. 07-14-2008 Delta Aquatics Swim Team
Delta Aquatics Swim Team is seeking to fill a number of coaching positions. As the team continues to grow, we anticipate having coaching vacancies in both the age group program and senior program. These positions range in part time to possibly full time coaching positions which we anticipate filling by September 1, 2008. Some administrative duties may also be required. We are seeking ASCA certified coaches, with coaching experience and/or experience working with children ages 5 – 18.
Delta Aquatics is a rapidly growing team, located in Oswego , IL just 50 miles southwest of Chicago . Delta trains daily at the Oswego East High School pool. Just four years old, the pool is an 8 lane, 25 yard facility which includes a 2 lane teaching pool along with a complete timing system and balcony seating. Delta Aquatics is looking for highly motivated Assistant Coaches whose coaching style emphasizes technique to lead and grow our athletes. We are looking for candidates that have high on deck energy, are positive influences on the swimmers, and knowledgeable in the sport of swimming. The ideal candidates will have a strong coaching background, be able to work with athletes of all ages and ability, and be knowledgeable in stroke development and season planning. The candidates must be excited to coach, strong motivators and leaders, as well as effective communicators. Additional skills would include the ability to interact with parents and to assist other aspects of the program.
Flexibility in work schedule is required (evenings and weekends), as the position requires attending one to two meets per month in addition to daily practices. Practice times are early evening through the end of the school year and mornings once school is out.
Salary is competitive and based on experience, qualification level and role within our staff. The qualifications listed will need to be obtained if the applicant does not already have them. Qualifications include: USA Swimming coaching credentials, ASCA certification, CPR, First Aid, and Safety Training for Swim Coaches (or Life Guard Training). History
DSC is a year-round age group and senior competitive swimming team offering instruction, training and competition to young people of all ages and ability . DSC is a non-profit program affiliated with Illinois and USA Swimming. The DSC tradition was established in the late 1960’s and has a long history of producing top level talent including the 1976 Women’s United States Olympic team captain and several top colligate athletes. Responsibilities:
The Head Coach shall coordinate both the Age Group and Senior programs. The Head Coach is responsible for designing a program philosophy and program description that will achieve the objectives established by the Board of Directors. The head coach will manage, administer and establish policy for all aspects of the program dealing directly with coaching, training and competition and prepare a season plan. The Head Coach shall be responsible for developing practice schedules, developing the competitive schedule, completing entry forms, writing newsletter articles, developing coach’s reports for the Board of Directors meeting, developing parent educational programs for the benefit of new and existing club members. The Head Coach shall also periodically critically evaluate the program, develop and implement positive motivational and recognition programs develop and implement recruiting programs, assist in all reasonable ways with any fundraising activities or efforts of the Board of Directors, assist with the annual budget and various other administrative tasks assigned by the Board of Directors.
Qualification s:
Candidates shall have current USA Swimming coaching and safety certification. ASCA certification or the desire to complete to level two and beyond is preferred.
The ideal candidate will be a college graduate with a background in competitive swimming. This candidate shall also be proficient in Hy-Tek operation including Meet Manager, Team Manager and Business Manager. Web site management experience is a plus.
Candidates for this position must be energetic and able to motivate all levels of swimming ability in addition to teaching basic and advanced stroke technique. Recruiting will be a priority in this position.
Salary :
This position begins at the start of the 2008 Short Course season. Salary will be commensurate with experience. Incentive programs are available based on achievement of recruitment goals.

Responsibilities :
The Head Coach is responsible for day-to-day direction and hands-on guidance and involvement in all aspects of the swim program. Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will be a college graduate with a minimum of 5 years coaching experience in a leadership role developing swimmers from novice to National Qualifiers. Coach member in good standing of USA Swimming that is current on all safety requirements and background checks (CPR, First Aid & Coaches Safety training); Respectful, timely and patient communication style with parents, board members, staff and swimmers; Provide consistent, positive motivation and swim atmosphere; ASCA certification of Level 3 or greater; Proficiency in HY-TEK Swimming Management Software (Team, Meet, Business); Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.

Sheridan Swim Team, located in Quincy, Illinois has an exciting opportunity for a full time head coach with a competitive spirit who is willing to develop the team. Sheridan Swim Team is an Illinois not-for-profit corporation and the head coach reports directly to the Board of Directors. The head coach will be responsible for the training of all age group levels and the development of the team. The head coach will be in charge of the Learn-to-Swim program and any other program the coach believes is necessary for the growth or success of the team. The head coach will consult with the Board of Directors concerning the program’s budget and be responsible for the hiring of assistants and other personnel as the budget allows.
Located in West Central Illinois, Sheridan is a USA Swimming Team with approximately 50 swimmers during the short and long course season. The Learn-to-Swim program enrolls an average 50 swimmers during the school year and approximately 100 during the summer months. The team has the potential for substantial grown for a coach willing to take advantage of the existing opportunities.
Sheridan has consistently qualified swimmers for the Speedo Championship Series and the Illinois Age Group Championships. Sheridan has also been successful in placing swimmers in college programs including several who are currently swimming in or just recently graduated from Division I programs.
Sheridan Swim Team is closely affiliated with Sheridan Swim Club, a members only recreational swim club. Sheridan is widely regarded as on of the finest swimming facilities in the State of Illinois and boasts the only 10 lane 50 meter pool in the State. Sheridan also has an indoor 25 yard pool with a diving well and an outdoor 25 meter T-shaped pool. Sheridan hosted the Illinois Long course Age Group Championships in 2007 and 2005, the Illinois Long Course Senior State Championships in 2006 and the Regional Championships (A Champs) in February of 2008. Sheridan is well known for hosting one of the finest summer invitational, its Firecracker Classic in July. Sheridan enjoys broad support from the Quincy community for hosting its swim meets. Sheridan has a dedicated parent organization experienced at hosting championship caliber meets.

New Trier Swim Club in Winnetka, Illinois is seeking qualified candidates for a full time assistant coach in our Age Group program. NTSC is a Silver Medal Club in the USA Swimming Club Excellence program, having been so honored for each of the last four years, and is consistently one of the top teams at Illinois and Sectional competitions.

SUMMARY
Plans and administers policies relating to all phases of team management activity by performing the following duties personally or through coaching staff.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Coordinate the scheduling of ISI, Dual, Intersquad and Time Trial meets and submittal of meet packets and sanction requests to Illinois Swimming.
Coordinate payment for meet entries and USA Swimming Registration with the team’s ISI Registrar.
Coordinate all aspects of meet entries, from timely swimmer sign-ups to timely submission to hosting team’s entry chairperson.
Attend and assist all home swim meets, including equipment set-up.
Oversee coaching staff, including review of swimmer workouts. In addition, assist in hiring, and conducting formal reviews, of assistant coaches.
Create a plan for developing the coaching staff, including holding monthly meetings, and locating clinics through ASCA or coordinating in-house clinics.
Scheduling coaching staff for both practices (including dryland) and meets.
Approve daily coaches’ timesheets and submit bi-weekly payroll data to Paychex.
Review and approve expense reports.
Generate and update the monthly calendar of meets/practices/events for the website.
Review daily written swimmer attendance.
Submit all necessary outside pool paperwork as well as school usage forms (for seasonal usage, meet usage and special team activities).
Submit information monthly for the website (articles, interesting swim facts, fun things for younger swimmers, etc).
Respond to parents’ phone calls and e-mails. Be responsible for initiating, drafting and sending e-mail blasts to notify parents of important information.
Coordinate quarterly swimmer registration sessions, generate rosters, and update Swimmer Information binders.
Update all areas of the pool: bulletin boards, record boards, swimmer mailboxes, etc.
Understand and enforce all team rules and policies. Report all critical situations to the board, and have a board member present on its resolve.

The Woodstock Dolphins Swim Team has immediate openings for up to two (2) assistant coaches for our upcoming summer season.
