Volunteer of The Year Form. Illinois Swimming has established a new award to recognize the efforts of an outstanding club volunteer. Each club may nominate one volunteer, these applications will be reviewed by a panel and the winner will be honored at the 2008 Illinois Swimming Athlete Banquet in October, all nominations must be received no later than July 1, 2008. 4/17/08

Website Updates & LSC Portal. USA Swimming now has launched an LSC Portal for Illinois Swimming on its website. There you can find meet results, records, and much more! Effective immediately, the Meet Results page and Records page will provide you with a direct link to the Illinois Swimming LSC Portal on the USA Swimming Site, which is where official results and records are kept. Rules Addendum Published. Please see the Rules and Regulations page for a new publication from ISI. The new posting is issued as an addendum to the Illinois Swimming Rules and Regulations, which were
updated and published in October 2006. The amendments were adopted in
October, 2007 and became effective in November, 2007. 2/28/08
Nominating Committee Update. The nominating committee is in the process of building a slate of candidates for election as the officers or committee chairmen or coordinators as specified in ISI Rules Section 606.1. As such we are seeking people interested in serving on the Board of Directors of Illinois Swimming. As states in ISI Rules Section 606.2 the following positions shall be elected by the House of Delegates at the Annual Meeting in even years: General Chairman, the Administrative Vice-chairman, the Secretary, and the Senior Vice-chairman. National Records Set! Congratulations to Andrew Jovanovic of Northwestern Aquatic Swim Association on setting two National Age Group Records at the 2007 TYR NASA Blast Off. Andrew set the Boys 11/12 50 Freestyle SCY record with a time of 22.17, as well as the Boys 11/12 100 Freestyle SCY record with a time of 48.25.
